Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation (Viettel High Tech) officially participates in World Defense Show 2026 (WDS 2026), one of the world’s largest defense exhibitions, taking place from February 8–12, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Participation in WDS 2026 marks Viettel’s expanded presence in the Middle East — a region with strong demand for defense modernization and technology transfer. At the exhibition, Viettel joins leading global defense and technology corporations to introduce new solutions and technologies while promoting international cooperation.

World Defense Show, founded by the General Authority for Military Industries of Saudi Arabia, serves as a platform connecting the global defense community, bringing together hundreds of enterprises, government agencies, and high-level delegations from many countries.
At WDS 2026, Viettel showcases its ecosystem of military and high-tech products fully research, designed, and manufactured by Viettel across multiple domains such as military communications, electronic warfare, radar, electro-optics, training simulation, and UAVs. These products are developed according to international standards, demonstrating the capability to master core technologies and the competitiveness of Vietnam’s defense industry in the global market.
On the opening day, February 8, the Viettel booth attracted strong interest from many partners and international delegations through a series of key external engagement activities.

H.E. Hoang Huu Anh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Saudi Arabia, visited and met with Viettel at the booth, discussing directions to promote defense industry cooperation and expand the presence of Vietnamese enterprises in the Middle East.

Viettel signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SagerDrone — a drone and geospatial data technology company headquartered in Saudi Arabia and part of the Sager Group. Sager provides solutions for government agencies and major enterprises in energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, telecommunications, and construction across the Middle East and internationally.
Through this partnership, Viettel and SagerDrone will jointly research and deploy UAV solutions and related technologies, while expanding opportunities to access the Jordanian and Middle Eastern markets through the local partner ecosystem.

On the same day, the Viettel delegation held a working session with ST Engineering (Singapore), chaired by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mervyn Tan, to discuss opportunities for cooperation in defense technology.
During the first day, Viettel welcomed nearly 50 visitors to its booth from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Middle Eastern countries, the United States, and China.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Quang, CEO of Viettel High Tech, stated: “World Defense Show 2026 is an important opportunity for Viettel High Tech to strengthen its presence in the Middle East, a region accelerating the development of its defense industry under the Vision 2030 strategy. We aim to become a trusted technology partner, ready to contribute core technologies, modules, and key subsystems, while co-developing solutions, transferring technology, and participating in regional and global defense supply chains.”
The high-technology industry is one of Viettel’s strategic pillars. Viettel High Tech is the core unit driving research, mastering technologies, and exporting “Make in Vietnam” high-tech products to international markets.
