General introduction

Viettel Site Router 10G stands as a cornerstone of efficient and reliable network architecture. It is essential switching equipment connecting mobile radio networks, fixed access systems, enterprise networks, and transmission networks seamlessly. Offering versatile functionality, the site router serves as both a cell-site router and Ethernet access router, meticulously engineered to synchronize and aggregate traffic flows within the backhaul network. Equipped with advanced capabilities, the site router prioritizes voice, data, and signal flows, ensuring steadfast transport across network connections, encompassing E1 and Carrier Ethernet protocols. Viettel Site Router 10G has been successfully deployed in 3 provinces within Vietnam.

  • Supporting Layer 2 (STP, VLAN, LACP, ...) and Layer 3 (OSPF, BGP, RIP v1 / v2, ...) protocols.
  • Supporting IP/MPLS (L2 VPN, L3 VPN).
  • Support system management, authentication and authorization via console port, Telnet, encrypted VTY access with SSH; SSH2, TACACS+ server.
  • Supporting Multicast feature (PIM SM, PIM SSM, PIM DM).
  • Support time synchronization (IEEE 1588v2, SyncE) and G.8273.2 BC accuracy at least Class C.
  • Support End-to-End service recovery for < 200 ms.
  • Being compatible with site routers of other vendors.
